8 Ball Clearance Competition 2019/2020 Season

At the end of this season there is an invitation only ‘8 Ball’ competition.  Entry is restricted to those registered players who have achieved a single visit complete eight ball clearance during a singles  league match.

 

The clearance must be from the break-off or first visit following the break off and not involve two visits after a foul shot.  All 7 coloured balls and the black must be potted in the single visit - i.e. 8 balls potted.

 

In order to track those players who have achieved this feat, Captains are requested to note whenever it happens on the match score sheet, clearly indicating which player achieved it.  Each successful player will be recorded on our website and will join the entry list for the competition at the end of the season.  A special trophy is awarded to the overall competition winner at the end of the season.  Date for the 8-ball clearance final set as 9th March 2019.

8 Ball Clearance KO Final...

Congratulations to Shabir Ali (8 Ball City) for winning the 8 Ball Clearance KO final and to Ishter Hussain (8 Ball City) for finishing as runner-up.  18 of the 30 qualifiers turned up to enter the final stages of the competition and despite it being quite a late finish at 8 Ball City, the competition was a resounding success.  Thanks to Kevin Nicholson and Darren Norris for organising and running the event.
